[705] And what, bhikkhus, is the path leading to the unconditioned (asaṅkhata)? Here, bhikkhus, a bhikkhu develops the faculty of faith (saddhindriya), which is based upon seclusion (viveka), based upon dispassion (virāga), based upon cessation (nirodha), maturing in relinquishment (vossaggapariṇāmi). This, bhikkhus, is called the path leading to the unconditioned.
