[704] And what, bhikkhus, is the path leading to the unconditioned (asaṅkhata)? Here, bhikkhus, a bhikkhu develops the basis for spiritual power (iddhipāda) endowed with concentration (samādhi) due to investigation (vīmaṃsā) and with volitional formations of striving (padhānasaṅkhāra). This, bhikkhus, is called the path leading to the unconditioned.
