[780] "Friend, for one who delights in form (rūpārāma), who is delighted with form, who rejoices in form, not knowing, not seeing the cessation (nirodha) of form (rūpa) as it really is (yathābhūta), there occurs the view 'the Tathāgata exists after death'; there occurs the view 'the Tathāgata does not exist after death'; there occurs the view 'the Tathāgata both exists and does not exist after death'; there occurs the view 'the Tathāgata neither exists nor does not exist after death'. Friend, for one who delights in feeling (vedanā), who is delighted with feeling, who rejoices in feeling, not knowing, not seeing the cessation of feeling as it really is, there occurs the view 'the Tathāgata exists after death' … Friend, for one who delights in perception … Friend, for one who delights in volitional formations … Friend, for one who delights in consciousness, who is delighted with consciousness, who rejoices in consciousness, not knowing, not seeing the cessation of consciousness as it really is, there occurs the view 'the Tathāgata exists after death' … there occurs the view 'the Tathāgata neither exists nor does not exist after death'."
