[79] "Here, Upavāṇa, a bhikkhu, having seen a form (rūpa) with the eye, experiences the form and experiences lust (rāga) for the form; and, there being lust for forms internally, he understands: 'There is in me lust for forms internally.' Since, Upavāṇa, that bhikkhu, having seen a form with the eye, experiences the form and experiences lust for the form, and, there being lust for forms internally, understands: 'There is in me lust for forms internally' — in this way too, Upavāṇa, the Dhamma is directly visible, immediate, inviting one to come and see, applicable, to be personally experienced by the wise." …
