Saddhāsutta

Suttapiṭaka · Saṁyuttanikāya · Mahāvaggasaṁyutta · Vol. 19 · Section 1011

[1011] "Venerable sir, a noble disciple (ariyasāvaka) who is wholly devoted to and has full confidence (abhippasanna) in the Tathāgata would not be perplexed or in doubt regarding the Tathāgata or the Tathāgata's teaching. For of a noble disciple who has faith (saddhā), venerable sir, this is to be expected: that he will dwell with energy aroused for the abandoning of unwholesome dhammas and for the attainment of wholesome dhammas — strong, firm in exertion, not shirking the burden with regard to wholesome dhammas."
