Suttapiṭaka · Saṁyuttanikāya · Mahāvaggasaṁyutta · Vol. 19 · Section 1018

[1018] Whatever energy (vīriya) he has, Sāriputta, that is his faculty of energy (viriyindriya). For, Sāriputta, when a noble disciple (ariyasāvaka) has faith and has aroused energy, this is to be expected: that he will be mindful, endowed with supreme mindfulness and discretion (satinepakka), one who remembers and recollects what was done long ago and what was said long ago.
