[1039] "Bhikkhus, and what are the steps (pada) that lead to awakening? The faculty (indriya) of faith (saddhindriya), bhikkhus — that step leads to awakening. The faculty of energy (vīriyindriya) — that step leads to awakening. The faculty of mindfulness (satindriya) — that step leads to awakening. The faculty of concentration (samādhindriya) — that step leads to awakening. The faculty of wisdom (paññindriya) — that step leads to awakening."
