[1183] And what, bhikkhus, is desire (chanda) scattered externally? Whatever desire, bhikkhus, is scattered and dispersed externally in connection with the five cords of sensual pleasure (kāmaguṇa) — this is called, bhikkhus, desire scattered externally.
