Suttapiṭaka · Saṁyuttanikāya · Mahāvaggasaṁyutta · Vol. 19 · Section 1192

[1192] And how, bhikkhus, does a bhikkhu develop a mind (citta) imbued with luminosity, with an awareness that is open and unenveloped? Here, bhikkhus, the perception of light (ālokasaññā) is well grasped by a bhikkhu; the perception of day (divāsaññā) is well established. It is in this way, bhikkhus, that a bhikkhu develops a mind imbued with luminosity, with an awareness that is open and unenveloped.
