[1233] And what, bhikkhus, is the basis for spiritual power (iddhipāda)? Whatever path (magga), whatever way of practice (paṭipadā), bhikkhus, leads to the gaining of spiritual power (iddhi), to the obtaining of spiritual power — this, bhikkhus, is called the basis for spiritual power.
