[1236] Then a number of bhikkhus approached the Blessed One … When those bhikkhus were seated to one side, the Blessed One said this to them: "Bhikkhus, what is spiritual power (iddhi)? What is the basis of spiritual power (iddhipāda)? What is the development (bhāvanā) of the bases of spiritual power? What is the way of practice (paṭipadā) leading to the development of the bases of spiritual power?"
"Venerable sir, for us the teachings are rooted in the Blessed One, guided by the Blessed One …"
