Suttapiṭaka · Saṁyuttanikāya · Mahāvaggasaṁyutta · Vol. 19 · Section 1367

[1367] Bhikkhus, as for those bhikkhus who are arahants, whose taints (āsava) are destroyed, who have lived the holy life, who have done what had to be done, laid down the burden, reached their own true goal, utterly destroyed the fetters of existence, and are liberated through final knowledge (ñāṇa) rightly attained — for them, concentration (samādhi) by mindfulness of breathing (ānāpānasati), developed and made much of, leads both to a pleasant dwelling in this very life and to mindfulness and clear comprehension.
