[1366] Bhikkhus, if one speaking rightly could say of anything: "a dwelling of the noble ones (ariyavihāra)," or "a divine dwelling (brahmavihāra)," or "a dwelling of the Tathāgata (tathāgatavihāra)," it is of the concentration (samādhi) of mindfulness of breathing (ānāpānasati) that one speaking rightly could say: "a dwelling of the noble ones," or "a divine dwelling," or "a dwelling of the Tathāgata." Bhikkhus, for those bhikkhus who are trainees (sekha), who have not attained their mind's ideal, who dwell aspiring for the unsurpassed security from bondage—for them the concentration of mindfulness of breathing, developed and cultivated, leads to the destruction of the taints (āsava).
