[1376] Bhikkhus, if one speaking rightly could speak of anything as "the dwelling of a noble one," as "the divine dwelling," as "the dwelling of the Tathāgata," it is of concentration (samādhi) by mindfulness of breathing (ānāpānasati) that one speaking rightly could speak as "the dwelling of a noble one," as "the divine dwelling," as "the dwelling of the Tathāgata." Bhikkhus, those bhikkhus who are trainees (sekkha), who have not attained their mind's ideal, who dwell aspiring to the unsurpassed security from bondage — for them, concentration by mindfulness of breathing, when developed and cultivated, leads to the destruction of the taints (āsava).
