[1422] "Venerable sir, those six dhammas pertaining to true knowledge (vijjā) which the Blessed One has taught are found in me, and I am seen to conform to those dhammas. For, venerable sir, I dwell contemplating impermanence (anicca) in all formations (saṅkhārā), perceiving suffering (dukkha) in what is impermanent, perceiving non-self (anattā) in what is suffering, perceiving abandoning, perceiving dispassion, perceiving cessation. Moreover, venerable sir, this occurs to me: 'May this householder Jotiya not fall into distress upon my passing.'"
"Do not attend to that, dear Dīghāvu. Come now, dear Dīghāvu, attend carefully to just what the Blessed One has said to you."
