[1498] Setting at Sāvatthī. Then the Venerable Mahāmoggallāna — just as a strong man might extend his bent arm or bend his extended arm — vanished from Jetavana and reappeared among the devas of Tāvatiṃsa. Then a number of devatās belonging to the Tāvatiṃsa host approached the Venerable Mahāmoggallāna; having approached, they paid homage to the Venerable Mahāmoggallāna and stood to one side. As those devatās stood to one side, the Venerable Mahāmoggallāna said this to them:
