[1523] "Here, venerable sir, some question concerning the Dhamma (dhammasamuppāda) might arise: on one side might be the Blessed One, and on the other side the Saṅgha of bhikkhus, the Saṅgha of bhikkhunīs, and the lay followers — whatever side the Blessed One was on, on that very side would I be. Venerable sir, may the Blessed One remember me as one who has such confidence."
