[1524] "Venerable sir, if some issue concerning the Dhamma (dhammasamuppāda) should arise here — with the Blessed One on one side, and the Saṅgha of bhikkhus, the Saṅgha of bhikkhunīs, the laymen followers, and the laywomen followers on the other — I would take whatever side the Blessed One takes. Venerable sir, may the Blessed One remember me as one who has such confidence."
