[1564] Then the feelings (vedanā) of the householder Anāthapiṇḍika subsided on the spot. Then the householder Anāthapiṇḍika served the Venerable Sāriputta and the Venerable Ānanda with the meal of rice (thālipāka) that had been prepared for himself. Then, when the Venerable Sāriputta had finished eating and had withdrawn his hand from the bowl, the householder Anāthapiṇḍika took a certain low seat and sat down to one side. As the householder Anāthapiṇḍika sat to one side, the Venerable Sāriputta expressed appreciation (anumodi) with these verses:
