[1578] Householder, when these five fearful animosities have been stilled in a noble disciple, and he possesses these four factors of stream-entry (sotāpattiyaṅga), and this noble method (ñāya) has been well seen and well penetrated by him with wisdom, then, if he wishes, he may declare of himself by himself: "Finished for me is hell, finished the animal womb, finished the domain of ghosts (pittivisaya), finished the plane of misery, the bad destination, the lower world; I am a stream-enterer (sotāpanna), no longer subject to downfall, fixed in destiny, with full awakening (sambodhi) as my final goal."
