[1606] Just as many rivers, frequented by hosts and companies of people, flowing along, reach the ocean— the great mass of water, immeasurable, the great reservoir, holding many terrors, the abode of hosts of gems— even so do streams of merit flow to the wise man who gives food, drink, and cloth, the giver of beds, seats, and coverings, just as rivers, bearing their waters, flow to the ocean.
