[1608] Bhikkhus, when a noble disciple (ariyasāvaka) possesses these four streams of merit (puññābhisanda), streams of the wholesome (kusalābhisanda), it is not easy to take the measure of his merit thus: 'Just so much is the stream of merit, the stream of the wholesome, the nutriment of happiness'; rather, it is reckoned simply as an incalculable, immeasurable, great mass of merit.
