[1620] Bhikkhus, there are these four factors of stream-entry (sotāpattiyaṅga). What four? Association with good persons (sappurisasaṃseva), hearing the true Dhamma (saddhammassavana), wise attention (yonisomanasikāra), and practice in accordance with the Dhamma (dhammānudhammapaṭipatti). These, bhikkhus, are the four factors of stream-entry.

Its summary verse (uddāna):
Three were spoken with "outpouring" (abhisanda), and two with "great wealth" (mahaddhana);
the Bhikkhu,¹ Nandiya, Bhaddiya, Mahānāma, and the Factors — thus these are ten.
