Sappaññavagga

[1622] One whose faith (saddhā) in the Tathāgata is unshaken and well established, and whose virtue (sīla) is good, dear to the noble ones and praised; one who has confidence in the Saṅgha and whose view has become upright — of him they say: "He is not poor; his life is not lived in vain." Therefore the wise person, remembering the teaching of the Buddhas, should devote himself to faith and virtue, to confidence and to the seeing of the Dhamma.
