[1711] When this was said, the Venerable Gavampati the Elder said this to the bhikkhus: "Friends, this I have heard in the presence of the Blessed One, received in his presence: 'Bhikkhus, one who sees suffering (dukkha) also sees the origin of suffering, also sees the cessation of suffering, also sees the way of practice leading to the cessation of suffering. One who sees the origin of suffering also sees suffering, also sees the cessation of suffering, also sees the way of practice leading to the cessation of suffering. One who sees the cessation of suffering also sees suffering, also sees the origin of suffering, also sees the way of practice leading to the cessation of suffering. One who sees the way of practice leading to the cessation of suffering also sees suffering, also sees the origin of suffering, also sees the cessation of suffering.'"
