[375] Bhikkhus, on whatever occasion a bhikkhu, dwelling thus mindful, examines that dhamma with wisdom (paññā), investigates it, and enters upon a full inquiry into it — on that occasion the awakening factor of investigation of dhammas (dhammavicaya-sambojjhaṅga), one of the factors of awakening (bojjhaṅga), is aroused in the bhikkhu; on that occasion the bhikkhu develops the awakening factor of investigation of dhammas; on that occasion the awakening factor of investigation of dhammas comes to fulfilment by development in the bhikkhu. As he examines that dhamma with wisdom, investigates it, and enters upon a full inquiry into it, unflagging energy (vīriya) is aroused in him.
