[415] On one occasion the Blessed One was dwelling at Rājagaha, in the Veḷuvana, the Kalandakanivāpa (the Squirrels' Feeding Ground). Now on that occasion the Venerable Mahākassapa was dwelling in the Pipphali Cave — afflicted, in pain, gravely ill.
