[431] Bhikkhus, by whomsoever the seven factors of awakening (bojjhaṅga) have been missed (viraddhā), by them the noble path (magga) leading rightly to the destruction of suffering (dukkha) has been missed. Bhikkhus, by whomsoever the seven factors of awakening have been undertaken (āraddhā), by them the noble path leading rightly to the destruction of suffering has been undertaken. What are the seven? The awakening factor of mindfulness … the awakening factor of equanimity.
