[462] The Blessed One said: "Good, good, Udāyi! For that, Udāyi, is the path (magga) you have obtained; and when it is developed and cultivated by you, then, as you dwell in such and such a way, it will lead you on to such a state that you will understand: 'Birth (jāti) is destroyed, the holy life (brahmacariya) has been lived, what had to be done has been done, there is nothing further for this state of being.'"
