[474] Even so, bhikkhus, there are these five corruptions (upakkilesa) of the mind (citta), corrupted by which corruptions the mind is neither malleable, nor wieldy, nor radiant, but brittle, and is not rightly concentrated for the destruction of the taints (āsava). What are the five?
