Upakkilesasutta

[475] Bhikkhus, sensual desire (kāmacchanda) is a corruption (upakkilesa) of the mind (citta); defiled by that corruption, the mind is neither malleable nor wieldy nor radiant, but brittle, and it does not rightly attain concentration (samādhi) for the destruction of the taints (āsava).
