[489] Bhikkhus, these seven factors of awakening (bojjhaṅga), when developed and cultivated, lead to growth and to non-decline. What seven? The awakening factor of mindfulness (sati) … the awakening factor of equanimity (upekkhā). These, bhikkhus, are the seven factors of awakening which, when developed and cultivated, lead to growth and to non-decline.
