[504] Which seven factors of awakening (bojjhaṅga)? The awakening factor of mindfulness … the awakening factor of equanimity. Bhikkhus, whatever ascetics or brahmins in the past abandoned the three discriminations (vidhā) … will abandon … abandon them — all of them did so because these same seven factors of awakening had been developed and cultivated.
