[563] Bhikkhus, whatever rapture (pīti) is accompanied by thought and examination (savitakka-savicārā), that too is the rapture factor of awakening (pītisambojjhaṅga); whatever rapture is without thought and examination, that too is the rapture factor of awakening. Thus it is that the designation 'the rapture factor of awakening' comes up in the summary (uddesa). By this method, this too becomes twofold.
