[579] "We too, friends, teach the Dhamma to our disciples thus: 'Come, friends, having abandoned the five hindrances (nīvaraṇa) — the corruptions of the mind (upakkilesa) that weaken wisdom — dwell pervading one quarter with a mind imbued with loving-kindness …'"
