[614] And, brahmin, when one dwells with a mind (citta) not obsessed by sensual lust (kāmarāga), not overwhelmed by sensual lust, and one knows and sees as it really is the escape (nissaraṇa) from sensual lust that has arisen — on that occasion one knows and sees as it really is one's own good; on that occasion one knows and sees as it really is the good of another; on that occasion one knows and sees as it really is the good of both. Then even hymns (mantā) that have long gone unrecited recur to the mind, let alone those that have been recited.
