[628] "Venerable sir, Pūraṇa Kassapa speaks thus: 'There is no cause, there is no condition for not-knowing and not-seeing; without cause, without condition, not-knowing and not-seeing occur. There is no cause, there is no condition for knowledge (ñāṇa) and vision; without cause, without condition, knowledge and vision occur.' What does the Blessed One say in this matter?"
