[632] Furthermore, Prince, on whatever occasion one dwells with a mind (citta) obsessed by ill will (byāpāda), overcome by ill will, and does not understand as it really is, does not see, the escape from arisen ill will — this too, Prince, is a cause, this is a condition, for not knowing and not seeing. Thus, too, not knowing and not seeing have a cause, have a condition.
