[635] …one dwells with a mind (citta) obsessed by doubt (vicikicchā), overcome by doubt, and one does not understand, does not see, as it really is (yathābhūta), the escape (nissaraṇa) from doubt that has arisen. This too, Prince, is a cause, this is a condition, for not knowing, for not seeing. Thus, too, not knowing and not seeing have a cause, have a condition.
