[638] "Here, Prince, a bhikkhu develops the mindfulness factor of awakening (satisambojjhaṅga), dependent on seclusion (viveka), dependent on dispassion (virāga), dependent on cessation, maturing in relinquishment (vossagga). Developing the mindfulness factor of awakening, with that mind (citta) he knows and sees as it really is. This too, Prince, is a cause, this is a condition, for knowledge (ñāṇa), for vision. Thus knowledge and vision arise with a cause, with a condition."
