[713] "Ānanda, whoever, whether now or after my passing, shall dwell as islands unto themselves, with themselves as their refuge, with no other refuge; with the Dhamma as their island, with the Dhamma as their refuge, with no other refuge — it is those bhikkhus of mine, Ānanda, who shall be the topmost (tamatagge), namely, whoever are desirous of the training."
