[788] Then, in the morning,¹ the Venerable Ānanda, having dressed, taking his bowl and robe, approached the residence of the householder Sirivaḍḍha; and having approached, he sat down on the seat that had been prepared. Having sat down, the Venerable Ānanda said this to the householder Sirivaḍḍha: ¹ [Siam Raṭṭha footnote: In the Yu. (European/PTS) edition this reading ("pubbaṇhasamayaṃ") is absent.]
