[804] And how, bhikkhus, is a bhikkhu clearly comprehending (sampajāno)? Here, bhikkhus, for a bhikkhu feelings (vedanā) are known as they arise, known as they persist, known as they vanish. Thoughts (vitakka) are known as they arise, known as they persist, known as they vanish. States of wisdom (paññā) are known as they arise, known as they persist, known as they vanish. It is in this way, bhikkhus, that a bhikkhu is clearly comprehending. Bhikkhus, a bhikkhu should dwell mindful and clearly comprehending. This is our instruction to you.
