[817] "And what, bhikkhus, is the way of practice leading to the development of the establishment of mindfulness (satipaṭṭhāna)? It is just this Noble Eightfold Path; that is: right view, right intention, right speech, right action, right livelihood, right effort, right mindfulness, right concentration (samādhi). This, bhikkhus, is called the way of practice leading to the development of the establishment of mindfulness." The Fourth Chapter: Ananussuta (Not Heard Before). Its summary (uddāna): Not heard before, dispassion, and neglected; development, mindful; final knowledge, desire, full understanding; development, and with the analysis — these are the ten.¹ ______________ ¹ The Burmese edition reads: "Not heard before, dispassion, neglected, development-mindfulness; final knowledge, desire, full understanding, development, and with the analysis."
