[881] Bhikkhus, through the completion and fulfillment of these five faculties (indriya) one is an Arahant; with faculties weaker than that, one is a non-returner (anāgāmī); with faculties weaker than that, one is a once-returner (sakadāgāmī); with faculties weaker than that, one is a stream-enterer (sotāpanna); with faculties weaker than that, one is a Dhamma-follower (dhammānusārī); with faculties weaker than that, one is a faith-follower (saddhānusārī). Thus, bhikkhus, one who practises in full achieves the full; one who practises in part achieves the part. The five faculties, I say, bhikkhus, are not barren.
