[900] Bhikkhus, by the completion and fulfillment of these five faculties (indriya), one is an arahant (arahaṃ); with faculties softer than that, one is an attainer of final Nibbāna in the interval (antarāparinibbāyī); with faculties softer than that, one is an attainer of final Nibbāna upon landing (upahaccaparinibbāyī); with faculties softer than that, one is an attainer of final Nibbāna without exertion (asaṅkhāraparinibbāyī); with faculties softer than that, one is an attainer of final Nibbāna with exertion (sasaṅkhāraparinibbāyī); with faculties softer than that, one is one bound upstream, heading to the Akaniṭṭha realm (uddhaṃsoto akaniṭṭhagāmī); with faculties softer than that, one is a once-returner (sakadāgāmī); with faculties softer than that, one is a one-seeder (ekabījī); with faculties softer than that, one is one who goes from family to family (kolaṅkola); with faculties softer than that, one is one with seven rebirths at most (sattakkhattuparama); with faculties softer than that, one is a Dhamma-follower (dhammānusārī); with faculties softer than that, one is a faith-follower (saddhānusārī).
