[885] Bhikkhus, because these five faculties (indriya) are complete and fulfilled, one is an Arahant (arahaṃ); with faculties weaker than that, one is an attainer of final Nibbāna in the interval (antarāparinibbāyī); with faculties weaker than that, one is an attainer of final Nibbāna upon landing (upahaccaparinibbāyī); with faculties weaker than that, one is an attainer of final Nibbāna without exertion (asaṅkhāraparinibbāyī); with faculties weaker than that, one is an attainer of final Nibbāna with exertion (sasaṅkhāraparinibbāyī); with faculties weaker than that, one is one bound upstream, heading to the Akaniṭṭha realm (uddhaṃsoto akaniṭṭhagāmī); with faculties weaker than that, one is a once-returner (sakadāgāmī); with faculties weaker than that, one is a stream-enterer (sotāpanna); with faculties weaker than that, one is a Dhamma-follower (dhammānusārī); with faculties weaker than that, one is a faith-follower (saddhānusārī). Thus, bhikkhus, through diversity of faculties there is diversity of fruits; through diversity of fruits there is diversity of persons.
