[950] Bhikkhus, in dependence on a contact (phassa) to be experienced as pleasant, the pleasure faculty (sukhindriya) arises. Being happy, one understands: 'I am happy.' One understands: 'With the cessation of that very contact to be experienced as pleasant, the corresponding feeling (vedanā) — the pleasure faculty that arose in dependence on a contact to be experienced as pleasant — that ceases, that subsides.'
