[974] "Suppose, bhikkhus, there were a peaked house or a peaked-house hall with a window on the north or on the east: when the sun rises, its rays, entering through the window, would settle upon what?"
"Upon the western wall, venerable sir."
"Even so, bhikkhus, the brahmin Uṇṇābha's faith in the Tathāgata is settled, rooted, established, firm — not to be removed by any ascetic or brahmin, by any deva, Māra, or Brahmā, or by anyone in the world. If, bhikkhus, the brahmin Uṇṇābha were to die at this time, there is no fetter (saṃyojana), bound by which fetter the brahmin Uṇṇābha would come back to this world."
