[115] When it is a buying and selling (kayavikkaya), and he perceives it as a buying and selling, it is to be relinquished, an offense entailing expiation (nissaggiyaṃ pācittiyaṃ). When it is a buying and selling, and he is doubtful, it is to be relinquished, an offense entailing expiation. When it is a buying and selling, and he perceives it as not a buying and selling, it is to be relinquished, an offense entailing expiation. When it is not a buying and selling, and he perceives it as a buying and selling, there is an offense of wrongdoing (dukkaṭa). When it is not a buying and selling, and he is doubtful, there is an offense of wrongdoing. When it is not a buying and selling, and he perceives it as not a buying and selling, there is no offense (anāpatti).
